We are usually fishing well away from the other boats, and are likely to see dolphins, whales, gannets and other birds putting on one of natures most spectacular shows....this is fishing in Auckland at its finest. Wave Dancer is a new Rayglass 2800; game rigged and fitted out for a wide variety of fishing. She has a top speed of 40 knots to get to the fishing spots quickly. Our skipper is one of Auckland's most experienced fishing charter captains. He has had over 30 years experience fishing in and around Auckland, and has an intimate knowledge of various fishing techniques and most importantly, knows how to find the areas where the fishing is on fire. We pride ourselves in providing the latest tackle, bait, ice, plus all safety equipment. You are welcome to bring your own fishing rods and reels, however we have top quality rods paired with the lastest Shimano reels on board. All levels of fishing experience are welcome and expert tuition in all aspects of fishing is freely given. Catering by a local Auckland restaurant, and fish filleting service is available by prior arrangement. Although we can show you a variety of ways to catch these fish, high speed jigging is our favourite and will provide you with exhilarating heart pumping action. Cruise the Gulf Experience one of the most beautiful cruising areas in the world, and explore the islands of the Hauraki Gulf. We can take you to a tranquil anchorage for a swim and picnic ashore. You can bring your own food, or indulge in one of our famous patters that can be made to your requirements. Although there are unlimited choices, here are some of our favourites: The Noises Islands Out in the middle of the Gulf, A beautiful group of islands offering a great walk ashore, exploration of the caves by dinghy, or a good feed of mussels at the right time of the year. Motutapu Island With beautiful beaches on the northern coastline and great walks ashore to the gun batteries originally built during WWII. This island is undergoing replanting and in decades to come will be like Tiritiri Matangi Island, which is one of NZ's special 'Open' Wild Life Sanctuaries. Waiheke Island The white sandy northern beaches and small coves are great for swimming, exploring or simply getting away from it all. Tiritiri Matangi Island Known as the jewel in the crown of the Hauraki Gulf. This 'Open' Wild Life Sanctuary is home to most on NZ's endangered species of birds. |
