| We take the time to help you learn and provide personal, professional assistance. No previous experience required. We supply the boats. All required knowledge is fully explained and demonstrations of correct use of equipment are given. FREE ongoing training is offered to any person doing our course. This is designed for people living in inland regions who need more experience with tides and sea conditions when they visit the coast or for those who do not own a boat at the time they get their licence and need a refresher when they get one and before they take their families out. As of the 1st of July 2005 Maritime Safety Queensland introduced the new BoatSafe training scheme. From this date it is a requirement by law to do a course of instruction with a Training Provider accredited by Queensland Transport. The facility to do a straight test with a Private Testing Officer is no longer available. Courses are conducted in accordance with National Training Standards and the facility of R.P.L. ( Recognition of Prior Learning) will be available for those with proof of skills and knowledge to reduce time spent doing a course.
