| Webbcon marine sell and service savage aluminium boats and evinrude e-tec outbord motors as well as dunbier boat trailers. We have a good range of boating equipment and accessories and boat trailer parts. We sell shimano and daiwa fishing rods and reels and hummingbird fishfinders. Webbcon Marine commenced selling marine products in the spring of 2010. The marine business is an adjunct to and is built upon the existing successful Webbcon sheetmetal fabrication business. Webbcon custom sheetmetal fabrication commenced in April 2006 in Sloss Street, Horsham. Within two years this building had become too small, as the business had grown substantially during that period. This growth had taken place in spite of the fact the by the spring of that year the 2006 drought had well and truly set in. This obviosly presented problems but we were able to overcome them through succesful marketing and as a result of the word spreading about the top quality product that we were producing. Early in 2010 a decision was made to expand the business to include marine products. This decision was taken in the light of the fact that there were no other marine outlets in the area. It was felt that there was a void in this area which should be filled. It was decided to take on well known top quality products in Savage aluminium boats, Evinrude outboard motors and Dunbier boat trailers. Together with the boats, motors and trailers it was only natural that fishing tackle and boating accessories be made available It has been rather fortuitous that the winter of 2010 has produced substantial rain and has ended up replenishing a number of lakes and water ways in Victoria and in particular in the Wimmera. This has given impetus the decision to get involved as a marine outlet in this area. We hope that in the coming years the water availability will improve particularly now that the Wimmera Mallee pipeline has been completed. This will provide substaintial water saving into the future and should help to secure water availability for domestic, farming and recreational use for a long time to come.
